  1. In this video the teacher encourage to her students to speak using real topics for me is good because she just saying that they discribe tv in just one word they inmmediately spoke and for me the most interesting activity in it was when the teacher is using realia like some posters with advantages and disadvantages of the tv they partcipate and they can speak with fluently without problem for me this techniques that she is using are good because while these activities our students are doing TTS and they lose their fair to speak in front of the people. In my case I present to my students some pictures according to the topic and they speak but some have fair to speak but I say that they are to learn and try to improve to the next time.

  2. Video Unit 8: Secondary: Teens
In this video we could appreciate a group of teens, and their teacher. At the beginning educator gives instructions to students, and play a song while teens take a paper, write their names and pass it to another classmate until the song finishes, then each student has a paper, and start to ask to other partners and interact. I think the teacher used an ACTIVE LEARNING, and INTERACTIVE APPROACH. After teacher asks one interesting aspect or information about your classmate, learners answer and start to participate.
Then the teacher uses a poster of tv that was on the board, the teacher uses BRAINSTORM, because students start to give their ideas about the poster, also educator uses ELICIT, because she asks about poster and students analyze and respond.
The teacher, also produce an EFFECTIVE DISCUSSION, about advantages, and disadvantages of television, when each student takes a paper with one characteristic of tv, stick it on the board, and explain what it is, for example one paper has the word violence, so students explain what the violence is. At the end teacher uses COLLAVORATIVE APPROACH, because she makes groups of 4, she says, read the text and create a ROLE-PLAY, using this technique too.

  3. Video Unit 8: Secondary: Teens

In this video we can appreciate that teacher gives a topic to speak about it, for example in the video teacher chose Mass media, TV, that I consider it appropriate. But Do you believe that teachers should avoid to speak about some topics like drugs or sex yes/ no why?

    1. Teachers must control students’ activities and let them feel free and have self-confidence. So student feel confident and at the same time teachers encourage students’ participation.

  5. Freire described learning as a democratic process. The T must learn about and know the students so that knowledge can be constructed in a way that is meaningful to the student. So, the topic is related with the real life and the teacher promote a critical thinking ot the students then create a meaning about the real life.the teacher try to know students about the good and the bad.

  7. VIDEO 8: Secondary :Teens

In this video show an interesting learning based in a Cooperative and Collaboratively work, inside of classroom in a group of teens about topic "Mass and Media", where the teacher is a guider of content topic , the activities developed by the learners I consider that is a student - centered learning, from the starting event, because they become the main actor in the development of all activities, because the facilitador gives the input and allow take of them open-ended questions in order to get a critical thinking , because create discussion about current topic. By another hand they creative thinking, because giving their point of view , and express in a freely way their thoughts, they answers to the questions based to the own criteria according that happen in the real life, beside the teaching of guys is based in Straightforward because the teacher need to know how they learn and how visualize the world from their opinions and interests which they use a simple language, Furthermore the teacher use different types of learning as: visual, because the teacher show many materials that help engaging them to the learning, tactil because use handouts, flashcards, and board, also they use the logic to answer to the questions asked by the teacher, and social being because interact between them in relevant and current topics.

FROM THIS VIDEO. According to the video observed where guider use the traditional materials as support to develop the classroom as : chalkboard, tape recorder, and handouts.

    Give your opinion.

    1. Dear Nancy according your question. The teacher need to apply all the activities, methods and tecnology that there are to teach our student. We as a teacher can challenge our student and every class improve their learning thought different activities.

  9. In this video the teacher promotes the participation of all students where the cooperative learning strategy used involves all students working collaboratively in heterogeneous groups that target individual and group learning goals.
Besides, this interactive activity helps reduce language barriers and classroom pressures and let them feel free to participate.
Other benefit that teacher gets with this strategy is that promotes comprehension and at the same time develop critical thinking skills.

  11. Video unit 8 secondary teens. It is a very good cooperative learning.I like it because all the students have the opportunity to practice the speaking during all that activity, We as a teacher have to give them something like media, It motivates the students the necessity to practice English during the class because when they go out just talk on their native language but we have to pay attention that teenagers on the video are late teenagers, 17-19 they used to be more mature than the younger teenagers this group is manageable. I think the strategy is very helpful. the teenager can think in english to answer the definition of each word about media.
